Embedded Web Server specifications

The Embedded Web Server (EWS) allows you to remotely configure and manage network printers. The following are the specifications for the EWS.

The server requires a TCP/IP-based network. It does not support IPX/SPX-based networks.
The server requires a Web browser, either Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher, Safari 3.0 or higher, or Google Chrome 3.0 or higher.
The server requires a network connection. It cannot be directly connected to a computer with a USB cable.
The server requires an Internet connection for some features.
The server must be on the same side of a firewall as the product.
